I live in Krupski Młyn. My passion is crocheting and knitting. I am self-taught. My first works were created in the 5th grade of primary school and it remains so to this day. I knit napkins, Christmas decorations, handbags, scarves and many other things. Recently I have been inspired by Amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting stuffed toys. | ||||
Amigurumi - Japanese art of crocheting Amigurumi is a Japanese word that means small crocheted or knitted plush toys. The history of this beautiful art began to be used to create mascots in the in the 1980s and 1990s. This art includes various designs of cute little cuddly toys. The word Amigurumi means; ami - crocheting, and nugurumi - hugging an animal, teddy bear or doll. As for the toys themselves, they are decorated in a chibi style typical of Japanese pop culture. Such stuffed animals mainly have a large head and a disproportionately small torso, as well as small limbs and tiny eyes. An interesting fact is that Amigurumi are toys that are made for collecting, not for playing. However, nothing stops children from playing with such stuffed animals. Amigurumi stuffed animals are a great idea for a homemade gift or home decoration. |
